Principle

We process personal data only to the extent necessary for the operation of this website and our foundation’s work, on the basis of the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This website does not use tracking, advertising cookies or analytics services.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When the website is accessed, Strato automatically processes technical data (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type) in order to provide the website securely. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stable, secure operation). Strato stores IP addresses for a maximum of seven days to detect and ward off attacks; in the website’s log files they are anonymised. A data processing agreement is in place with Strato (Art. 28 GDPR).

Fonts

The fonts used are hosted locally on our server. No connection is made to servers of Google or other third parties.

Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, subject, message) solely to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a service of the foundation (e.g. a donation receipt or a request for a reading), otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.

Donations by bank transfer

For donations by bank transfer, we process the data transmitted in the payment transaction (name, IBAN, payment reference) for processing, bookkeeping and issuing donation receipts. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR. The retention obligations under German tax law (Abgabenordnung) apply, generally up to ten years.

Our website links to external services (e.g. Herder Verlag, media libraries, press articles). When you follow these links, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply. We do not embed external content.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact kontakt@savitadianawagnerstiftung.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
