Savita Diana Wagner went to Ukraine in 2022 to help. Aid transports turned into service as a combat medic. On 31 January 2024 she was killed while trying to rescue the wounded. Her mother Ursula Wagner then founded this foundation. It carries on what Savita lived for.

For almost two years, Savita kept a diary. In the thick of her deployment, between fear and resolve. Today her notes are a book: “Eine Deutsche im Ukraine-Krieg” (A German Woman in the Ukraine War). Not a tale of heroism, but the honest testimony of a woman who stayed when leaving would have been easier.
